THE VOICE IN THE WILDERNESS

My heart is filled with pain and sorrow, you may be wondering why I’m saying this, and well let me tell you.

When I read and hear about what is happening in my mother land, my beautiful Africa it pains me as if someone just struck a knife in my chest.

There is a doubt that our continent Africa will ever take its place as the richest continent in the world. Over the last centuries all we’ve seen is the same thing over and over again; war, poverty and our riches being stripped us.

Doesn’t it pain you to see how rich we are but then we die poor? Hunger, diseases and hatred surround us everyday as if these three words belong in the category “wealth”. Africa is mostly the richest continent in the world, with over billion thousand dollars worth in natural resources for example: cobalt, zinc, diamonds, oil and copper. This is just a few I can name, because I can go on and on. This is what i see everytime i switch on the TV or everytime i do a search on Africa

How can anyone live in these conditions and how can the government allow this to happen. If we try to find how much our presidents and political members gets paid don't you think that the money could have been put down for a good cause, maybe trying to reduce borrowing from the UN, better our Education systems, and also try to make our economie rise. one other thing i would like to point out is that, why are Africans fighting against each other when they could be stretching their hand to help out others? My country ( Democratic Republic of Congo) has fallen because of the creed of other Africans countries, everybody want a piece of my land, instead of knocking at the door they broke it down instead and to that i'am ashamed
